The Path of Light

The Path of Light

You may have read in my previous blogs that my spiritual journey began when I was a child.  Both my mum and grandmother were Psychic Mediums and often also used Tarot cards. This was a normal way of life for me. I also connected with my Grandfather Joe’s spirit just after he died when I was 7 years old and throughout my life I have always kept myself connected to spirit and he has been with me for all of that time.

Although my active spiritual journey began when I was 30 years old.

Since the beginning, I have always been interested and learned about various different spiritual modalities, trusting in the direction I am going in and forever grateful for the many spiritual tools that I have gained along the way.

As an avid reader of spiritual and personal development books, I have learned how to get the best out of  life. These teachings along with the many lessons I have learned from life’s challenges, support me well and are very much reflected in the person I am today. I use the wisdom from the knowledge that I have gained and continue to learn and grow through my spiritual education and practices.

At the age of 30 I remember going through a big transformation in my life and I felt lost and at that time was desperately looking for answers.  Something was missing in my life and I didn’t know what it was.

It is a typical age for young adults to feel like this.

I started using Tarot and Oracle cards and my thirst for knowledge rapidly grew.

During this period of time, I began having nightmares.  These nightmares were vivid and sometimes occurred on a nightly basis. I didn’t fully understand what they meant but there was a common theme which was that I would be out somewhere that I knew, I would get lost and I would then not be able to find my way home.

The uneasiness of these dreams led me to look for a deeper analysis and so I bought a selection of Dream Analysis books which gave me the detailed information that I needed to interpret the dreams.

The dreams showed me the truth, I was lost, and that I needed to find a new pathway to my own personal freedom.

As I began to understand my dreams, I felt a sense of comfort as some of the questions that I was seeking were answered. It wasn’t long before I became adept at analysing my dreams and I grew to love analysing other people’s dreams too.

It was at this time that I started to become an avid reader of spiritual and personal development books and through the knowledge I received, I began to find the lost version of myself through the remembrance of spirituality.

Whilst my children were growing up I focused on them and I didn’t pursue spirituality but I couldn’t really get away from it, as the house that I was living in when my children were small had a spirit in it and my youngest son would talk to me regularly about it.  My mum and I also saw and felt this child spirit.  He was a lovely light energy and I have to say I enjoyed sharing space with him.

After about 10 years, once my children were teenagers, I began to have visions and would see morphing faces at night.  These faces looked like past over spirits and Ascended Masters and this frightened me but somewhere inside me,  I knew that this was all part of the plan.

I decided to join a Psychic Development Circle to develop as a Clairvoyant Medium.  I felt compelled to learn and understand how to connect with spirit, my spirit guides and also learn how to Meditate. Sitting in Circle really helped me gain a positive perspective about spirit and I realised that there was no reason to be afraid.

This opened up a whole new world and some of the pieces of the jigsaw finally fell into place.

I grew in confidence and the time I spent sitting in a Circle helped me to develop strong meditation skills.  This has been invaluable to me and my spiritual development.

This inspired action helped me deepen my knowledge of Tarot and I then completed the first and second degree of Reiki.  Now I was able to heal myself and others.  My world was opening up more.

When you decide to develop both in your spiritual and personal development the more that you develop, the more challenges you face and as you overcome one challenge, a new challenge presents itself. At times, it felt overwhelming.

In a period of about 20 years I experienced three rock bottoms.

The shadow work that I went through as a result of these rock bottoms has made me so strong and resilient and has been an amazing teacher. This has been a great support, an anchor and the true foundation of my spiritual work.

I felt at times as if I was drowning in the situations that I was dealing with and little did I know at the time, that these experiences were all part of my journey. Without them I would not be the person I am today or be able to help and support my clients through the healing work, development and guidance that they need.

Being a forever student has kept me humble.  I know that constant studying and self improvement is necessary and I devote so much of my time to constant and never-ending improvement.  I am always learning and looking for new ways to improve not only my spiritual practices but my relationships with my family, friends and colleagues.  Being devoted to self-love, authenticity, gratitude and healing, creates a powerful focus on self-respect and self-nurture.

I am also focused on being a minimalist in my home and life. This helps me to keep my life in order and my head clear. I also keep my interactions with Social Media and the News to a bare minimum to keep my vibration and energy high and I am committed to finding new positive and better ways to live my life.

Working as a Tarot reader has opened up my world and I derive an immense amount of pleasure from helping and guiding my clients on their journeys.

During lockdown I decided to retrain as an NLP Life Coach.  I realised through my Tarot Readings that I was coaching my clients, especially my regular clients and three years ago, I left full time employment to follow my dream career working as a Spiritual Teacher.

Things unravelled for me quite quickly and it wasn’t long before I was asked to perform House Blessings after a friend introduced me to her Eyebrow lady, Chelsey Briggs who had moved into the home that I had lived in with my children when they were small, which had the spirit of a child in it.   The house had called me back to clear it.

This was synchronicity at its finest.

Whilst I was building my business, I decided one day to read all my Reiki Manuals and felt that it was time to become a Reiki Master.  Reiki has a way of guiding you to what you need at just the right time.

It’s a calling and not long after I was initiated to Reiki Master I began teaching Reiki.  I love giving Reiki to my clients and also teaching about Reiki and attuning others to its practice.  Through this work I feel complete as so far, it has given me everything that I could want or need.

I equally enjoy all my spiritual practices and I am excited about what else is going to present itself to me in the future.

If you would like any guidance in your life, please feel free to reach out to me.
